Collectively these routes explore the very best scenery that France and Germany offer – from coastal views and mountains, forests and national parks, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, vineyards, lakesides and riverbanks, islands (including parking up and visiting car-free islands), to pastoral idylls, wilderness and vibrant cities brimming with architectural heritage.
No end of adventures await! Travel the Route Napoléon (France’s first ever signposted route following Napoleon’s trek through the Alps on his return from exile) or the Bertha Benz Memorial Route (named for the wife of inventor Carl Benz and the first person ever to make a long-distance road trip).
