Website orders for print books are shipped via Royal Mail from our warehouse, Grantham Book Services, in Grantham, Lincolnshire. We ship to any address in the world. For orders placed before midday we endeavour to dispatch your items the same day. For orders placed after midday we aim to ship your books the next working day. Our warehouse is closed weekends and UK bank holidays. Postage and packing rates, and estimated delivery times are as follows:
- UK: Free shipping on all orders over £30. Otherwise, £3.25 for first item + £1.00 for each additional item in each shipment; allow 5 working days* (see below)

Please note that due to strike action, deliveries in the UK are likely to take longer than expected in the run-up to Christmas 2022. Please allow extra time for your orders to arrive.
- Ireland: £13.00 flat charge for up to 5 books, duty included; allow 2 weeks
- Europe: £6.80 for first item + £2.00 for each additional item in shipment; allow 4 weeks
- N America: £13.00 for first item + £7.00 each additional book, allow 4 weeks
- Rest of World: £12.00 for first item + £5.50 for each additional item in shipment; allow 6 weeks
NB: Outside the UK and Ireland, books are delivered duty unpaid.
Please note, Grantham Book Services do not provide a tracked service so we are unable to advise you of progress after the order has been dispatched. We find their service very reliable in most parts of the world, but if you would like us to send your order via a tracked service please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE you place your order and we will advise you of the cost.

VAT and import duties in EU countries
Please note that, due to new rules in the EU, you will no longer pay any VAT due on physical books at the point of purchase. If VAT is applicable on physical books in your region, it may be charged to you at the point of delivery. Couriers are responsible for charging VAT and any import duties. In our experience so far, this happens rarely but it does happen and we regret we have no control over the system. We’re continuing to monitor the situation.
You may wish to contact your local authorities before placing your order, therefore, or purchase your books from an online retailer based in the EU (although of course in that case you won’t benefit from any discounts operating on our site). Ebooks are unaffected by these changes – these are sold inclusive of VAT and no delivery charges or import duties apply. Thank you for your understanding.
Ordered the wrong guide? Wasn’t what you expected? Bradt operates a 30-day returns guarantee. Return the guide in its original condition within 30 days of receipt and we’ll issue a full refund for the price you paid including the basic cost of postage.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to refund any enhanced delivery charges you have requested (e.g. delivery by courier) or your costs of returning the book to us.

If you’d like to cancel your order please contact our warehouse at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. If your order has already been dispatched you will need to return the book in accordance with the instructions above.
