From festivals to handicrafts, Rudolf has a passion for photographing Europe's intangible cultural heritage, and for exploring its mountains and wild places
Rudolf Abraham is an award-winning travel writer and photographer specialising in Central and Eastern Europe – in particular Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Montenegro. He is the author of a dozen books including The Alpe Adria Trail, and is co-author of Istria - The Bradt Travel Guide. He has contributed to many more, and updates the Bradt guide to Croatia.
His work is published widely in magazines including Arts Society Review, BBC Countryfile, B Inspired, France Magazine, Geographical, Hidden Europe, The Independent, Morning Calm, The National, The Telegraph, Songlines and The Great Outdoors. Rudolf first visited Croatia in the late 1990s, returned to live in Zagreb for two years, and continues to spend several weeks a year in Croatia and surrounding countries.
