Norm Longley (normlongley.com) has been writing travel guidebooks for more than twenty years. He has written three Bradt guides: South Wales, Montenegro and Somerset (Slow Travel). He has also authored a number of other titles covering Britain and Europe, published by Rough Guides. He writes articles for the Guardian and Independentnewspapers, as well as hotel reviews for the i-escape website. Brought up in the southwestern English county of Somerset, as an adult he moved around a series of what he considers mostly unalluring) places in Britain and eastern Europe – although did become fascinated by the Balkans when living in Serbia – before scurrying back to the UK in 2009.
