Murray Stewart has been a travel writer since 2009, when he gave up a lucrative, interesting and stressful career in corporate restructuring. A veteran of over 60 countries, his new career has been benchmarked by publication in national magazines and prizes for on-line contributions on subjects as diverse as the Camino de Santiago and Carcassonne Airport. He has undertaken updates of Bradt’s North Cyprus, Cape Verde and Azores guides, co-authored Bradt’s guide to The Vendée, and was sole author of the first edition of Bradt’s Basque Country and Navarre, which won the British Guild of Travel Writers’ Best Travel Guidebook Award.
