Caitlin and Huw Hennessy are seasoned travel writers specialising in Latin America, but with worldwide experience – from Nova Scotia to New Zealand, Jamestown to Queenstown, Belfast to Bangkok. They met as tour leaders for Journey Latin America (UK adventure tour operators). Between running tours to this then ‘undiscovered’ region, they helped update Footprint’s South American Handbook. The travel-writing bug soon took over from tour leading, and the couple have accumulated more years than they care to count editing, writing and updating numerous Footprint Handbooks, and editing for a wide range of publishers, including Dorling Kindersley, Reed Books, Insight Guides, AA, Rough Guides, Berlitz and Michelin. The couple have updated six Bradt guidebooks, covering Nova Scotia, Colombia, Saint Helena, Paraguay, Mozambique and North Cyprus, while Huw has also written three of Bradt’s cycling guides. They have written for magazines and newspapers, including Wanderlust, Songlines, The Independent and the Times Educational Supplement.
