Caitlin and Huw Hennessy are seasoned travel writers specialising in Latin America, but with worldwide experience, from Iceland to Auckland, Jamestown to Queenstown. They met as tour leaders for Journey Latin America (UK adventure tour operators). Between running tours to this then ‘undiscovered’ region, they helped update Footprint’s South American Handbook. The travel-writing bug soon took over from tour leading and they have accumulated more years than they care to count editing, writing and updating numerous Footprint Handbooks, and editing for a wide range of publishers, including Dorling Kindersley, Reed Books, Insight Guides, AA, Rough Guides, Berlitz and Michelin. The couple have updated four Bradt’s guidebooks, covering Colombia, Saint Helena etc, Paraguay and Mozambique, while Huw has also written Bradt’s cycling guides to Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, and to East Anglia. They have written for magazines and newspapers, including Wanderlust, Songlines, The Independent and the Times Educational Supplement.
