About this author
Samantha Wilson found herself in Israel quite by chance. After completing a degree in archaeology in the UK she embarked on a world trip that saw her wind up in Israel. There she spent several years travelling to every corner of Israel’s little land, rescuing countless stray animals and writing for a variety of publications. She has authored or contributed to more than ten guidebooks for publishers such as Thomas Cook, Explorer Guides, Foreign Languages Press and Survival Guides, and written articles on a huge variety of topics – most focusing on Israel – for publications such as Transitions Abroad, Jet2 In-fl ight Magazine and Wend. Samantha currently lives on a tiny island off the Honduran coast, from where she can travel throughout Central America and write with views of the Caribbean. She makes regular trips back to Israel to travel, research and visit the in-laws, for a country that wasn’t originally on the trip itinerary has become a second home.
