About this author

Paul Murray enjoyed a 30 year career with a leading international airline where he spent almost the whole of his leisure time either travelling the world or planning his next overseas venture. One of these trips took him to Zimbabwe soon after the country’s independence, one outcome of which was his involvement in three editions of Bradt’s Zimbabwe guide. He developed a keen interest in all aspects of the country but above all, his love for Zimbabwe has been driven by the locals: ‘probably the friendliest people I’ve met anywhere in the world’.
