We’re thrilled to announce the 16 entries that have made the longlist for this year’s New Travel Writer of the Year Competition!
For the time being, in order to preserve the anonymity of the judging, we’re listing only the story names.
The shortlist will be announced on 1 February, along with the shortlists for the other Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards. All three shortlisted writers will be invited to attend the ESTWA awards ceremony in London on 3 March. Put those dates in your diary!
For all those who haven’t made the longlist, our commiserations. Thank you so much for entering. It was a particularly strong field this year, so please don’t feel too downhearted. You can read judge Janice Booth’s preliminary comments about the entries here and we hope you’ll feel encouraged to enter again next year.
