Katrina Manson is an award-winning journalist who covered Africa for 12 years. She was most recently East Africa correspondent for the Financial Times, based in Nairobi. Previously a Reuters correspondent based in DR Congo, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso, past reporting assignments have also taken her to countries including Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan. She is currently writing a book about money, power and influence networks in Africa.
