Welcome to Bradt Travel Guides – and our new website! Here at Bradt we have a reputation as a pioneering publisher: for tackling ‘unusual’ destinations, for championing the causes of sustainable travel, and for producing colourful guidebooks that are entertaining as well as useful. Because every destination is different, we don’t believe that rigid templates and set word counts make for good guidebooks. Instead, we trust the expertise of our authors and allow them to write the books that best suit the needs of visitors. It’s an approach that, over the 40 years since the company was founded, has made Bradt one of the world’s leading travel publishers. (Yes, 2014 is our 40th birthday!)

Our new website includes comprehensive travel advice, articles from our expert authors, news, interviews and competitions, destination forums in which you can discuss travel issues and raise questions, and galleries where you can display your travel photos and view those of other Bradt users. And of course you can buy books too in the website shop (often at special prices).

We’re still in the process of uploading information to the website – it’s a big job! – so do keep checking back to see what’s new. And, as I’m sure you’ll appreciate, there might be the occasional ‘wrinkle’ to iron out as the website beds in; if you encounter any problems, please do let us know.
