I found her information about the history and the set up of the state of Slovakia absolutely fascinating and very informative ...The maps of the city were brilliant, clear and informative and helped me navigate my way round the charming and fascinating city.'

Lucy Mallows first visited Bratislava in 1982 while studying Czech and became a frequent visitor. An expert on the central European region, particularly its culture, architecture, politics and history, she promotes tourism in the new European states by writing articles on culture, entertainment and travel from her home in Brussels. She's the author of the Bradt guides to Slovakia and Transylvania.
