The volcanic island of Grenada and the smaller Grenadines, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, sit at the southern tip of the Windward Islands chain in the eastern Caribbean. Known as the 'Isle of Spice', Grenada's national parks are teeming with tropical wildlife and provide the perfect opportunity to trek through the country’s lush rainforest. The smaller island of Carriacou, or 'land of reefs,' is one of the region's top scuba-diving destinations. Explore The Bianca C, the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, or swim amongst the colourful marine life and dramatic underwater pinnacles and walls. For those looking for an idyllic getaway, visit the tiny island of Petite Martinique – famous for its shoreline boat-building. And for culture vultures, frequent festivals showcase the nation's diverse heritage and rich musical traditions

'One of the most informative and useful of the one-place travel guides I have read. This is a book you don't just read through before you go - it's one you take with you and actually use on a daily basis.Full of really useful and relevant information with detailed maps (essential in Dominica) of all the places you are likely to go to - or consider going to - including places off the beaten track reached only by hiking.Paul Crask really has produced a first class guide book.'
